Weaving and Knitting Associations

This list of associations bring weavers, knitters, crocheters and other fibre artists together. The list includes both national organizations as well as groups of guilds in a specific geographic area.

Handweavers Guild of America (HGA) - The largest weaving organization for North America, HGA provides many resources for Weavers. International Tapestry Network (ITNET) - A group for Tapestry Weavers Rug Weavers' Workshop - "The Largest Cyber Meeting Place For Rug Weavers in the World" Tablet Weavers' International Studies & Techniques (TWIST) - A group designed to "promote appreciation of tablet weaving and development of skills" Weave a Real Peace (WARP) - A group whose purpose is "To facilitate self-empowerment and betterment of women and communities-in-need through textile arts."	Regional The Association of Northwest Weavers' Guilds - A resource for guilds in the Northwest area of the United States and Canada (ANWG) Conference of Northern California Handweavers, Inc. (CNCH) - A regional association for weaving guilds in California Intermountain Weavers Conference (IWC) - A regional association for weaving guilds in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association (MAFA) - A resource for guilds in the Mid Atlantic area of the United States. Midwest Weavers Association - A resource for guilds in the Midwest United States. Ontario Handweaver's and Spinners (OHS) - This is the association for Weavers and Spinners in the province of Ontario, Canada. Tapestry Weavers West - A group chartered to "promote the art of tapestry and to educate an audience for its appreciation."

Canadian Knitwear Designer's Association - The national association of knitwear designers (CKDA). The Canadian Machine Knitting Guild - a Canadian group of machine knitters CANcrochet - home to a group of over 200 Canadian crocheters with links to crochet information	Crochet Guild of America - a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of crochet.
