Over the years, many knitters across North America have learned to knit and have used this skill to produce many beautiful garments from kits they purchased at The Knitwear Architects, a knitting store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Now that they no longer seem to be available, many knitters are disappointed at not having a source for the cotton yarn used in their designs.
To support these knitters, Camilla Valley Farm is able to offer a direct substitute cotton yarn for what Knitwear Architects referred to as their 8-ply Original Cotton yarn. Our 16/8 Cotton is an 8-ply chunky yarn that knits up 14 stitches and 21 rows to 4 inches on 6 mm (US 10.0) needles. It comes in the 44 beautiful colours shown below.
This yarn can be used with patterns calling for the Original Cotton including: Adult Pullover with Cable-Ridge Edging (#141B), Adult Center Cable Pullover (#213), Adult Vancouver Sweater (#200), Adult Multi-Cabled Tunic (#211), Men's Diagonal Panel Tunic (#254) and Adult Multi-Coloured Tunic with Patterned Borders (#401).
